Project description:

The new concept of "Heavenly Holidays" offers space for relaxation in historic buildings: vicarages throughout Austria. Every single vicarage is different, but they have one thing in common: the high-quality comfort their guests enjoy. Those looking for relaxation will find modernly equipped apartments in the natural environment of a vicarage, dwellings which, in many cases, expanded over centuries. The combination of historical building structure and natural materials ensures a feel-good atmosphere of relaxation and calm, time for yourself and the essentials. The location of the residences - mostly in the centre of a village - are places of retreat and tranquility and are ideal for a break from everyday life.

Focus on the essentials

The aim of "Heavenly Holidays" is to reduce a holiday to the essentials. This principles is applied in the furnishing of the apartments, the website and the brand presence of heavenly holidays to the organisational processes.

The furnishings in the apartments are made from high-quality natural materials, while quotes on the walls provide food for thought. The guest decides when and what they would like to do. Anyone who appreciates the individuality of an apartment and enjoys being pampered can have breakfast and/or dinner served by culinary partners on site.

Individuality instead of a chain business feel

Individuality is very important to Heavenly Holidays.
Minimum length of stay? Fixed arrival and departure dates?
Heavenly Holidays are based on the needs of guests. Holidayers in search of relaxation can find a feel-good atmosphere in the vicarage in which they can recharge their batteries for everyday life. Wind down in the vicarage, some of which are still in use - a special place to recharge your batteries.
A shopping service on the day of arrival, a music library and guided hikes are available for guests. Guests are also welcome to bring their four-legged friends.

Sleeping in heavenly peace

The apartments "Jakobus" and "Between Heaven and Earth" are located in the 18th century vicarage right in the centre of Pichl-Preunegg, in the Schladming-Dachstein holiday region. Natural solid wood furniture and a four-poster bed ensure a special sleeping experience in the newly opened vicarage. Wooden roof beams create a cosy atmosphere in the converted attic.

60 properties planned in the Alpine region

The next Heavenly Holidays vicarages will be renovated in the next few months. May will see the Tieschen vicarage in the Styrian thermal region open its doors to guests, and the second property in this region, located in the herb village of Söchau, will follow in the spring of 2016. St. Nikolai in the Sölktal is set to open this year. In addition, properties across Austria are being prepared as potential Heavenly Holidays vicarages. The aim is to be able to offer guests an attractive selection of different houses and locations consisting of at least 60 different properties - all across the entire Alpine region.

Aiding the development of the Heavenly Holidays concept was a challenging and pleasant task that Kohl & Partner Rita Einöder and Markus Burgsteiner were able to devote themselves to. In addition to visits to the vicarages and the exciting work with the project team, the main focus was on filling a niche with this new tourist offer. And Heavenly Holidays is set to become international. In addition to vicarages all over Austria, there is interest from neighbouring countries.
