Tourism Development Plan for Kavkazkye Mineralnye Vody, Russia

Client:
Public Development Company 'Northern Caucasus'

About the destination:

Situated in the southern part of Russia in the Stavropol Krai region, KavMinVody was the number one health destination in the Soviet Union. Even today, it is widely recognised for its medical treatments and mineral water.

At the time of the project, KavMinVody — consisting of the four main tourist destinations of Kislovodsk, Essentuki, Pyatigorsk and Zheleznovodsk — had over 30,000 beds and attracted around 700,000 visitors per year.

Preparing the tourism development plan was part of a wider regional development plan initiative.
