Brief project description:
The Swiss company Finsec AG, based in Zug, has been working on Albania's first marina project, Porto Albania, for eight years. Obtaining the port licence and, ultimately, the building permit required considerable patience. This perseverance was finally rewarded in October 2014, when Finsec laid the foundation stone for the project. The official ceremony was attended by numerous regional and Swiss officials.
Once completed, the marina will bridge the gap between Porto Montenegro and Corfu for the first time.
Kohl > Partner was seeking suitable partners for the investors. There were three options to choose from:
- An international brand as the operator
- A management company, that operates the resort under a specific brand (franchise contract)
- A management company, that operates the resort under its own name
