Market and Technical Feasibility Study for the Spa Destination Tskaltubo, Georgia

Client:
State-owned Georgian Partnership Fund (PF)

About the destination:

The city of Tskaltubo is located in the Imereti region in western Georgia. It was a well-known health destination during the Soviet era. Within the city, there is a 70-hectare park with nine bath facilities (with hot wells) and 16 hotels and sanatoriums (impressive buildings of architectural and cultural significance) with around 5,000 beds. Years of neglect since independence have turned this once vibrant health destination into a dilapidated place.
