Feasibility study for a cable car project near Opatija, Croatia

Client:
Primorsko-goranska županija

Brief project description:

After preparing a preliminary study for the planned cable car project in 2009 with the aim of defining the best route from an economic point of view, Kohl & Partner was asked to prepare a comprehensive feasibility study in June 2014.

The planned cable car project was to connect the Croatian coast near Medveja with the highest point in Istria (Vojak - 1,401 m). The total length of the cable car is projected to be 4.7 km and the travel time will be around 8 to 9 minutes.

The responsible ministry considers the project to be key for tourism and there is a genuine possibility the project will receive financial support from EU structure funds. New text area...
