Economic Impact Study 'Northern Black Forest National Park', Germany

Brief project description:

The Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Rural Areas and Consumer Protection (MLR) commissioned a report examining the potential effects of establishing a Northern Black Forest National Park. The report aims to provide valuable information on the potential impact of a national park in the northern Black Forest on the region, in terms of tourism, forestry, industry, trade and commerce, natural conservation, and the forest itself. The report is divided into four sections.

The project was implemented as a joint initiative by the companies PricewaterhouseCoopers, Kohl > Partner and Ö:Konzept, in collaboration with several academic institutions. Kohl > Partner was responsible for the tourism section, which formed part of Section 2 of the report.

A core element of the study involved setting up regional working groups for various subject areas, with experts from the region contributing their knowledge.
