Development Strategy for Wine Tourism in South Kosovo, Kosovo

Brief project description:
Around 90% (almost 3,000 hectares) of all vineyards are located in the municipalities of Rahovec and Shareka. Although the conditions for wine tourism were favourable, it was only in its initial development phase when the project started. Only some of the larger wine producers offered wine tastings and had their own showrooms.
Another factor limiting the rapid development of tourism is the limited number of attractive and developed tourist sites in the vicinity of the two municipalities. Therefore, the project aimed to determine the most important initial steps for the destination to become an attractive wine tourism destination in South-Eastern Europe.
