Business Plan for a Greenfield Mountain Resort in Alba County, Romania

Client:
Private Investor

Brief project description:

The project initiator plans to develop a modern, international-standard mountain resort in the western part of Romania. The future resort will be located on a plateau at an altitude of approximately 900 metres above sea level. The surrounding area is almost unspoilt, with hardly any tourism development. Nevertheless, hundreds of Romanians come every weekend in winter to ski.

Kohl > Partner supported the project initiator by optimising the existing business plan for the new resort. Furthermore, a marketing concept was prepared, identifying the main target markets and groups, necessary marketing activities, and required marketing budget. Based on the prepared marketing concept, a renowned marketing agency developed a logo and slogan for the future resort.

In a second phase, Kohl > Partner prepared a pre-feasibility study for the entire mountain resort, including accommodation facilities, a skiing area and other tourist infrastructure. This study was later converted into a full feasibility study.
